Very Sad News: another heart break for crystal palace club premier league removed palace from……

Crystal Palace club captain Luka Milosevic will leave the club at the end of the season at the expiration of his contract.

Milivoje Vic, 32, joined Palace in 2017 and has made 198 appearances in all competitions with the side.

“It has been a privilege to spend almost seven years at such a special club,” Milivoje Vic remarked. “I want to thank all of the managers, coaches and staff members who made my stay here such an enjoyable one.

“When I look at the club now compared to when I arrived, I see a team full of ambition to reach higher and higher — you can be sure I will be following the results from afar.

And as Palace endured further injury woes and waves of pressure on their goalmouth began to increase, Harvey Elliott stepped forwards to win it for Liverpool in injury-time with a dipping shot.

Palace went into their second Selhurst Park match in the space of four days off the back of a self-admittedly poor result against Bournemouth – but not for wont of trying, as manager Roy Hodgson had maintained.

Up against a Liverpool side unbeaten in their last eight Premier League appearances, the visitors’ talent was in no doubt – but Palace more than matched it, both for quality and application, in a competitive first-half when the Eagles enjoyed the better chances.

Making his 350th Palace game, Joel Ward was engaged prominently early on as Liverpool’s attempts to get the ball forwards fast for Salah and company were rejected effectively; one especially critical sliding tackle from the captain saw an early attack halted.

At the other end, the Eagles’ strong press was particularly effective against a Liverpool team loose in control in their own third, and that led to a number of fouls which gave Hughes the chance to deliver three threatening set-pieces.
