News Now: Dave Meltzer Analyzes Timelines for Upcoming WWE Matchups

WWE is quickly preparing for the final months of 2024, which will feature major events like Crown Jewel, Survivor Series, and the return of Saturday Night’s Main Event. Alongside these events, weekly shows like “WWE Raw,” “WWE NXT,” and “WWE SmackDown” will continue. In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer detailed some of WWE’s biggest upcoming matches and their possible locations.

“Raw” viewers can look forward to two significant matches in the coming weeks. One confirmed matchup is Jey Uso defending his WWE Intercontinental Championship against Bron Breakker, who has been seeking revenge since Uso won the title on September 23. Another possible match is Seth Rollins vs. Bronson Reed, which could either air on TV or be included in the Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia on November 2. Rollins, who was sidelined in August to recover from injuries, was taken out of action by Reed’s attacks.

As for Saudi Arabia, fans speculated that Goldberg’s return at WWE Bad Blood 2024 could lead to a match against GUNTHER. However, GUNTHER is scheduled to face Cody Rhodes for the WWE Crown Jewel Championship instead. Meltzer also noted that no match between Goldberg and GUNTHER is planned for Survivor Series or WrestleMania 41 in 2025, although WWE typically begins forming the WrestleMania card around this time of year.
