Breaking News: Michigan Wolverines Secure Skilled Linebacker coach from SEC……

SEC linebacker coach is taken by Michigan football…

In his first exam as the head coach of the Michigan football team, Sherrone Moore passed. With the departure of Jesse Minter, Steve Clinkscale, Mike Elston, and Jay Harbaugh for the NFL, he was forced to assemble a whole new defensive staff.

However, Moore has excelled greatly. As the defensive coordinator, he brought in Wink Martindale, who had previously worked with Minter and Mike Macdonald. In addition, he brought in Greg Scruggs from Wisconsin and Stephen Adegoke from the NFL. Now, Michigan football has brought in Brian Jean-Mary from Tennessee to serve as both the run-game coordinator and linebackers coach, according to Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider.

Jean-Mary worked as a staff member for the Michigan football team in 2020. Nevertheless, Tennessee hired him over the next offseason. Moore knew Jean-Mary from his earlier days on the staff, and one of my favorite things about Jean-Mary is that he’s not only been South Florida’s defensive coordinator but also a recruiting coordinator for Texas at one point.

That adds another coordinator-experienced coach to Michigan football. Both Adegoke and Scruggs are young coaches who have recently worked in both college and the NFL. You feel good about each of these moves because Moore was able to snag coaches from an NFL team, a Big Ten competitor, and one of the stronger SEC teams.

While Tennessee and Wisconsin also made a strong effort to retain their coaches, Michigan football was more assertive in its hiring of staff members, led by Sherrone Moore.

The running backs coach is the one thing that is still up in the air. Mike Hart may return, even if we haven’t heard from him recently. However, we’re still awaiting word on when he will return in a formal capacity.
