Manchester City 5-1 Luton Town: Erling Haaland nets as Pep Guardiola's side go top of Premier League - Eurosport

Vicaro Guglielmo has been ever-present between the sticks for Spurs this season. But his defence has been chopped and changed around injuries and suspensions.

Most recently Micky van de Ven has suffered another injury, which has opened the door for the hard-working Radu Dragusin. Cristian Romero was his partner in centre-back, while Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie seem to be Postecoglou’s favoured full-backs.In midfield, Yves Bissouma and Pape Sarr started their second match together and were both substituted at the 66-minute mark as Postecoglou tried his best to turn the Fulham fiasco around.

As usual, James Maddison is irreplaceable in his central attacking midfield role. He is vital for getting Spurs into those dangerous positions and executing the killer pass. These skills also come in handy for England, with him crucially assisting Jude Bellingham for the Three Lions’ last-gasp equaliser against Belgium.

On the wings, Dejan Kulusevski and Brennan Johnson have started the last two matches together, with Timo Werner preferred as an impact sub as of late.

Son has continued to lead the line for Spurs. The South Korean was disappointed with himself and his team-mates, labelling the Fulham defeat as “unacceptable” and apologising to the Spurs fans.

Tottenham Hotspur Recent Form and Tactics

After recovering from 1-0 deficits for much of the season, Spurs finally came unstuck against Fulham, unable to really get going or create any chances. It was a bit off-colour for the Lilywhites, who had previously scored in the last 39 Premier League matches, a record only beaten by Arsenal across 55 matches, May 2001 – December 2002.

Postecoglou Tottenham formation remains faithful to the 4-2-3-1 and until now it has been reasonably effective for the North London side. After running riot against Aston Villa, with a free-flowing attacking style of play, Spurs simply didn’t turn up against Fulham.
