With nine games played thus far this season, Green has averaged 8.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 5.7 assists while shooting 45.0% from three-point range and 48.2% from the field.
The Warriors are currently in the midst of a four-game losing streak and have only won 6-6 of their previous 12 games after the Timberwolves defeat.
Thursday night in San Francisco will be their next game (at home) against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The announcement of the ban was also verified by Anthony Slater of The Athlete.
According to Slater: “Sources affirm that Draymond Green will miss five games due to his suspension. First, ESPN. Thus, he will miss the following five games: at the Suns, Spurs, Thunder, Rockets, and Thunder.”
Currently in his twelfth NBA season (all with the Warriors), Green has contributed to the team’s four championships and six NBA Finals appearances during the previous nine years.
The former Michigan State standout shot 52.7% from the field last year and averaged 8.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, 6.8 assists, and 1.0 steals per game.

According to Wojnarowski: “A source tells ESPN that Draymond Green of Golden State is facing a five-game suspension from the NBA. A serious blow to the Warriors.”
