Real Madrid Ready To Sign This Chelsea Star This Summer

In a strategic move to secure their goalkeeping ranks, Real Madrid have identified Chelsea’s Kepa Arrizabalaga as a top replacement should Andriy Lunin decide to leave the club this summer.

This information comes from a recent report by The Athletic, shedding light on the current uncertainty surrounding Lunin’s future at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Lunin, the Ukrainian shot-stopper, has found his position at Real Madrid increasingly precarious. After being relegated to the bench upon Tribute Courtois’ return from injury last season, Lunin is reportedly contemplating an exit.

Despite previously being close to signing a contract extension, the 24-year-old is now re-evaluating his prospects with the Spanish giants.

Real Madrid, while preferring Lunin to remain, is not entirely opposed to the idea of a sale if a suitable offer comes through.

In preparation for such a scenario, the club has earmarked Kepa Arrizabalaga as a viable alternative. Kepa, who spent the last season on loan at Real Madrid, impressed with his performance and attitude, making him a favorable candidate for a permanent transfer.

Kepa’s tenure at Chelsea has seen its ups and downs, but his recent stint in Madrid has revitalized his reputation. The Spanish international is keen to rejoin Real Madrid, a factor that further strengthens the possibility of a deal.

Carlo Ancelotti and the Madrid hierarchy hold Kepa in high regard, considering him an excellent fit for the team’s needs.

Should Lunin decide to depart, Real Madrid are expected to move swiftly to secure Kepa’s services, ensuring a seamless transition in their goalkeeping department.

As the summer transfer window progresses, all eyes will be on Santiago Bernabéu to see how this potential goalkeeper reshuffle unfolds.

Meanwhile, according to reports, Chelsea has reached an agreement to sign Atlanta United left-back Caleb Wiley.

The 19-year-old US international is expected to join Chelsea for a fee of £8.5m  and will head out on loan to French side Strasbourg next season.

Caleb Wiley is expected to be Chelsea’s sixth summer signing, as the Blues have already signed Tosin Adarabioyo, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Marc Guiu, Estevao Willian, and Omari Kellyman.

Caleb Wiley has made two appearances for the US national team.
