Burnley top Star Striker about to sign….

Michael Obafemi, a striker for Burnley, is close to a loan deal with Millwall.

After supposedly reaching an agreement with Burnley for Michael Obafemi, Millwall is purportedly moving closer to bringing in a second signing in January.

To increase their alternatives up front, the Lions hope to sign the 23-year-old on a loan.

According to reports this afternoon, they have reached an “agreement in principle” with the Premier League team. Before a deal is finalized, Obafemi is anticipated to undergo medical testing this week.

In the event that he signs, he might play on Saturday against Preston North End.

Obafemi scored two goals in 12 games during the previous season while on loan from Swansea City to Burnley in January 2023.

But he has only been able to play in two games since they were promoted to the first division.

The Irishman, who has experience playing in the Championship, scored 12 goals in 32 games for Swansea in the 2021–2022 campaign, which was his finest goal-scoring year to date.

Since making his debut in November 2018, he has also made 11 appearances for the Republic of Ireland.

Due to injuries, Millwall is presently without both Aidomo Emakhu and Tom Bradshaw, meaning that their only available striker is Kevin Nisbet.
