During a recent fans’ forum, Daniel Levy confirmed the existence of a buy-back clause regarding Harry Kane’s transfer to Bayern Munich. This clause grants Tottenham the first option to re-sign Kane if he were to return to the Premier League. Similar to the arrangements seen in Gareth Bale’s move to Real Madrid, if another English club submits a bid for Kane during his tenure at Bayern Munich and the bid is accepted, Tottenham will have the opportunity to match that offer.
Despite facing criticism from Tottenham supporters for allowing Kane to leave, Levy confirmed the existence of the buy-back clause during the fans’ forum, without providing further details regarding its specifics.
Although Kane’s departure from Tottenham initially seemed final, he did not definitively rule out the possibility of a return to the club in the future. Ultimately, any decision regarding Kane’s return to Tottenham would be at his discretion. Harry Kane moved from Tottenham to Bayern Munich in a deal which could be worth up to £100 million; Daniel Levy has confirmed Spurs have first option to re-sign the England captain; Kane appeared to refuse to rule out a return to Spurs when he left club in August
Kane joined the German club for £100m in the summer transfer window, with Spurs not wanting to risk the possibility of losing the England captain on a free transfer next summer.
