Shakhtar Donetsk CEO Sergei Palkin has called on Daniel Levy “to uphold the values of the football family” in regards to Manor Solomon’s Tottenham transfer. Having spent the 2022/23 season on loan with fellow London club Fulham, the Israel winger moved to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on a free transfer in July and signed a permanent contract with Ange Postecoglou’s team until the summer of 2028.

Solomon did have a contract with Shakhtar Donetsk until the end of 2023 but FIFA.We are not asking for money from Tottenham. We are asking for a good sell-on fee for the future,” said the Shakhtar CEO, as reported by the Evening Standard. “If you sell him for good money we both receive something. It’s not respectful that they only offer us 10 per cent sell-on fee. It’s as if they don’t respect football values or what happens in Ukraine.

“I am appealing to the moral side as if we don’t find a solution, we will have to go to court to the legal side. I want to appeal to Daniel Levy to urge him to uphold the values of the football family.”
