Tottenham line up €50 million move for Charles De Ketelaere

According to a report by Italian outlet Milan Live, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing Charles De Ketelaere. The two North London clubs are willing to cough up €50 million to sign the Atalanta playmaker. Meanwhile, AC Milan will benefit from the Belgian playmaker’s sale if he leaves La Dea next year.

Charles De Ketelaere has resurrected his stuttering fortunes since moving across Serie A by joining Atalanta from AC Milan. La Dea initially signed the former Club Brugge attacker on loan in August 2023 before completing a permanent move in the subsequent summer transfer window in 2024.

The 23-year-old has gone from strength to strength in the last 18 months, establishing himself as one of the best players in Serie A. De Ketelaere has played his part in Atalanta’s excellent 2024/25 campaign thus far, contributing to 19 goals in 24 appearances across all competitions by finding the back of the net ten times and providing nine assists.

Meanwhile, the Belgian international’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe. A move to the Premier League might be on the cards, with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur ready to cough up €50 million to secure his services next year.

Arsenal’s interest in Charles De Ketelaere is understandable. The Gunners are scouring the market for a creative attacker heading into the 2025 summer transfer window. While the Atalanta forward can be an alternative to Martin Odegaard, he can also be an option on the right flank or as a central striker.

As for Tottenham Hotspur, the North London outfit will dip into the market for a versatile attacker amid uncertainties surrounding the long-term future of Richarlison. While De Ketelaere will not be a like-for-like replacement for the Brazilian international, he can be a top-notch addition to the Tottenham attack.

It is unclear if a bid worth €50 million can convince Atalanta to part ways with the 23-year-old Belgian playmaker. However, AC Milan will keenly monitor the situation, considering the Serie A giants have a sell-on clause in the agreement with.
