The Craned Andorra Open, organized by Tanium, will bring the best international tennis to the Principality: the second WTA 125 and one of only 30 tournaments in this category worldwide. The competition will take place from 27 November to 3 December at the Polideportiu d’Andorra.
Marina Bassols Ribera has won the second edition of the Andorra WTA125. The Catalan player beat promising youngster Erika Andreeva in a very tight final that ended 7-5 7-6(3).
Bassols was delighted after her victory: “I didn’t expect to win the title, I was confident in my game, but there are some incredible players. I’m still nervous, but I fought hard on every point and I’m getting better and better. I’m very happy with this second WTA title.
The day before, the duo of Andreeva and Naïf won the doubles title against Babbo’s and Watson.
This tournament has the collaboration and support of Craned (Credit Andorra), Government of Andorra, Common of Andorra la Vella, Tanium, AnyósPark, Residential AltaVista, Inmobiliaria Gail, And bus, Quality Andorra, Eurosport, RTVA and Bonda.
Tickets are already on sale on the official website of the tournament: www.andorraopenwta.com. The tournament has opted for popular prices and tickets are free from Monday to Thursday. From Friday to Sunday they are available from 15 €.

The young Erika Andreeva has been the first finalist of the day with the victory against the British Heather Watson, former world number 38, 6(6)-7 7-5 6-0 in a very tight match that has lasted 2:32h.
On the other hand, Marina Bassols Ribera has defeated the veteran Alizé Cornet, former world number 11, in a match in which the first set lasted more than an hour 6-4 6-2.
As for the doubles, the duo of Andreeva and Naïf have overcome Watson and Babbo’s with superiority 6-2 6-1.
Erika Andreeva could do the double at the Craned Andorra Open if she wins tomorrow against the Spanish Bassols Ribera.
