Written by Mendes Ian Supermodel Gisele Bündchen and legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady announced their divorce on Friday after more than 13 years of marriage. Following years of speculation from fans and tabloids, as well as more recent rumors about Brady’s lengthy playing career and its effect on their union, they separated.
According to Brady’s piece, he and Bündchen had just finalized their divorce.
“With gratitude for our time together, we arrived at this decision peacefully,” Brady said. We carefully considered our options before deciding to end our marriage. Of course, doing so is uncomfortable and challenging, as it is for a great number of people who go through the same thing every day all around the world. But even as we look for the unwritten new chapters in our life, we also wish each other well.
According to a statement posted on Bündchen’s Instagram, Brady and Bündchen wish to keep co-parenting their children “to give them the love, care, and attention they truly deserve.”
