Tom Brady said he would play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers again the following season.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady said on Sunday that he will rejoin the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the next campaign.

Brady announced his decision to come back after a brief retirement on Twitter.

Brady tweeted, “I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. These past two months.” “That moment is coming. However, that’s not right now. I adore my family for being there for me and my teammates. They enable everything. I’m returning to Tampa for my 23rd season. Unresolved business matter, LFG

The Buccaneers’ owners, the Glazer family, were observed receiving a visit from Brady the day before at a Manchester United game.

Brady declared his NFL retirement in February. Brady had recently concluded his 22nd season in the NFL, which also happened to be his second with the Bucs.

“We are overjoyed that Tom has chosen to return for this season. Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht stated in a statement, “We indicated we would leave all options open for him should he reconsider his retirement and today’s announcement is one we have been ready for in recent days. “Tom continues to play at a very high level and is the best quarterback of all time.”We will proceed with our offseason preparations to replenish this roster in preparation for another championship run now that this choice has been made, Licht continued.

Brady “loves to play football as much as anyone I have ever been around,” according to head coach Bruce Arians.

“He was the most prolific player in the league the previous season and is currently playing at a championship level.” In a statement, Arians added, “We are thrilled that he has chosen to play on and pursue another title.”

Brady is the NFL’s all-time leader in passing yards (84,520), touchdown passes (624), completions (7,263), regular season wins (243), playoff victories (35) and Super Bowl MVPs (five). He has won seven Super Bowl championships: six with the New England Patriots and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Throughout his career, he has participated in and triumphed in more regular-season games than any other quarterback.

Brady played 20 seasons in Foxborough after being selected 199th overall by the Patriots in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft. He then signed as a free agent with the Bucs after the 2020 season, and he helped the team win a Super Bowl in his first season there.
