Alan Myers: Everton could complete deal to sign mystery player in next 24 hours.

Everton transfer news: Myers shares new signing update post Danjuma

It should come as no surprise that Sean Dyche has not added any players to the first team over the whole month of January.

On Thursday, February 1st, transfer deadline day, Myers is supporting the Blues’ acquisition of a single player. Regretfully, he is unaware of the identity of the possible newcomer.

“I’m not sure who, but maybe one by tomorrow,” he stated on Wednesday, January 31 via his Despite Dyche’s outstanding work, Everton finds itself in the same relegation zone as it was at the end of January last year. Naturally, if that 10-point deduction were removed, we would be more of a mid-table team, but for the time being, we must pretend that this deduction is unchangeable.

Is this team capable of rising above the bottom three again? It has already done that once, but it has also returned, and we have repeatedly witnessed that many of these players are just not good enough.

Goodison Park’s financial woes make it nearly hard to acquire new players, despite the necessity for them. On deadline day, if we do end up signing someone, it better be for someone who can genuinely contribute and start for Dyche; otherwise, what would be the purpose?

To bring us out of the relegation zone and keep us well ahead of the bottom three in case the Premier League docks us more points, we need star quality, not additional squad players or stop-gaps.

We very much anticipate going to bed early on Thursday without having any business to worry about, but regrettably, we don’t see that type of signing occurring.
