Breaking News: LA Lakers post convincing NBA win over Dallas Mavericks despite…

ANGELES On January 17, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Dallas Mavericks 127-110 in the National Basketball Association (NBA), spoiling Luka Doncic’s comeback from injury. Davis’s nearly triple-double helped the Lakers get back to full health.

Despite Doncic’s triple-double—having missed three games due to a sprained right ankle—Davis scored 28 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists, and D’Angelo Russell scored 29 for the Lakers.

Doncic finished with 33 points, 10 assists, and 13 rebounds. But Kyrie Irving, a prominent player for the Mavericks, was held to just 12 points on 4 of 16 shots, and Dallas never took a lead after the first quarter.

It was only one of the night’s many lopsided wins, which also included the Boston Celtics defeating the San Antonio Spurs 117-98 and the Cleveland Cavaliers crushing the inexperienced Milwaukee Bucks 135-95.

Teams throughout the league celebrated a minute of silence at arenas honoring Golden State Warriors assistant coach Dejan Milojevic, who passed away in Salt Lake City earlier in the morning following a heart attack.

LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers noted that having a healthy team at last was a major factor in the team’s victory, which brought them back to 21-21 in the Western Conference. “Health is the most important (problem) for our team,” James, who finished with 25 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists, stated.

“We get the continuity if we have guys to be on the floor and in uniform. We may spend a few minutes together and discover our shared interests.

Donovan Mitchell led the Cavaliers in Cleveland with 31 points, and they won their sixth straight game by making the most of Giannis Antetokounmpo’s absence from the Bucks.

With a damaged right shoulder, Antetokounmpo watched from the sidelines as the Cavaliers jumped out to a 22-2 lead. This is just the second game this season that the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player has missed due to injury.

For Cleveland, Jarrett Allen recorded his tenth consecutive double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds, while Georges Niang hit 13 of his 14 field goals and route to a career-high 33 points.

With 17 points, Damian Lillard led the Bucks despite only hitting seven of his 20 field goals. Even worse, Khris Middleton only made one out of ten shots on route to two points.

Cavaliers coach J.B. Bickerstaff stated, “Obviously we know what Dame and Khris are capable of, but I thought our guys came out and were very pointed, they were physical without fouling.”

“I felt like we had excellent team defense.”
