Newcastle United star has just posted cryptic message amid Arsenal, Chelsea & Man United rumours.
But Wilson is also edging closer to a return from a calf injury after missing the last three matches against Liverpool, Sunderland and Manchester City. Fans have been left wondering if the 31-year-old is indeed referring to his injury comeback, or if he is suggesting a possible exit. Wilson used the tornado and hourglass emoji accompanied by four photos, including two of himself, the sun setting and a quote that reads “don’t compare your life to others. There’s no comparison between the sun and the moon, they shine when it’s their time.”
Fans have been quick to respond on X (formerly Twitter), many of whom have been left baffled.
“I don’t know what these cryptic emojis, quotes or sunsets mean,” said one fan. “But I do know this has been one of the weirdest transfer windows I can remember.” Another said: “What does this mean Cal, don’t leave, please!”.
Adding to cryptic theme, Wilson appeared on the BBC Footballer’s Football Podcast on Wednesday and when asked if he could shed any light on the rumours he replied: “No.” Then asked if he knew anything about Munich’s interest in teammate Trippier, Wilson again said: “No.”
