£22m Tottenham player could end up at Burnley this month.
Although the Spaniard is reportedly eager to compete for a spot in this Tottenham team, the winger at Spurs is unlikely to succeed in that endeavor.
Gil is definitely way down the pecking order at Tottenham, despite the fact that he is giving it his all. Ryan Sessegnon, Timo Werner, Heung-Min Son, Manor Solomon, and Brendan Johnson are all above him on the left wing.
Ben Jacobs has been talking about Gil’s future on Last Word on Spurs. He believes Burnley is a team to watch in this race and has suggested that there may be some late Premier League interest in the midfielder.
Jacobs revealed what he is aware of the £22 million man.
“Gil is open to hearing proposals, Fenerbahce is eager, so another Turkish move, nothing progressed with Lazio.” There are some recommendations with Lazio that don’t go very far. I would keep a watch on Burnley since there have been hints from sources that there might be some late Premier League interest, Jacobs added.
For Gil, this would be a really intriguing move.
The winger has always seemed a little too raw for the Premier League, but maybe he would fit in nicely with Vincent Kompany’s team, which values skill above brute force.
Gil is a gifted player, and if Burnley were to offer him consistent Premier League experience, maybe he might grow into a more established player.
If the Clarets are to stay in the Premier League this season, they must perform, and at this juncture, a player like Gil is definitely worth a risk.
Keep an eye out for any potential tardiness in this regard.
