BURNLEY MOVE ONE STEP CLOSER TO £10M SIGNING AS CLUB BRING IN REPLACEMENT.

HITC Football has learned that Maxime Esteve and Vincent Kompany’s Clarets team reached an agreement earlier this week. The France Under 21 international is anticipated to leave Montpellier for Turf Moor for a sum of £10 million.

It is also expected that the 6′ 4in central defender would agree to a four-year contract in Lancashire.

Additionally, even if Burnley is running out of time because the window closes tonight, Kompany should have one less potential roadblock in his path with the arrival of a replacement at Montpellier.

The Ligue 1 team has formally announced the addition of Modibo Sagnan, a central defender from the Eredivisie who will be moving from FC Utrecht. According to Sagnan, Get France Football News reports, Montpellier will have to pay almost £2.5 million.
