Aston Villa confirm contract agreement as goalkeeper signs on.

Aston Villa have announced young goalkeeper James Wright has signed a new contract with the club.

The 19-year-old joined Villa at the age of 16 and has since made appearances for both the under-18s and under-21s in recent seasons. Wright made his first appearance in a senior squad when he was named on the bench against Everton earlier this month.

He becomes the latest youth player to pen fresh terms with the club since the start of January. Kerr Smith signed a new deal before leaving on loan for St. Johnstone, before midfielder Tommi O’Reilly also extended his contract.
