completed deal: palace have interesting contract with defender…

Nottingham Forest decision has now opened door for Crystal Palace to sign £18m winger as contact is made.

Maxwel Cornet from West Ham is currently being pursued by Crystal Palace, following Nottingham Forest’s decision to create an opening for the Eagles.

The Telegraph did, however, report early on Wednesday that Crystal Palace is thinking of making a late attempt to recruit the £17.5 million Ivory Coast international.

Now that Nottingham Forest has chosen to recruit Gio Reyna from Borussia Dortmund rather than Cornet, Mokbel claims that initial interest has developed into an official inquiry.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, the Chief Football Reporter for The Daily Mail posted: “Crystal Palace has now inquired about Maxwel Cornet’s availability.

When it appeared that Gio Reyna was traveling to Sevilla, Forest inquired. However, after her attempt to relocate to Spain failed, Reyna headed to Forest, which opened doors to Palace. told it’s only a preliminary inquiry at this time. This season, Cornet has made just ten appearances for West Ham across all competitions, totaling one assist and one goal.

We think the West Ham No. 17 would be a great addition to Selhurst Park’s attacking lineup.

The fact that Cornet can play anywhere in the front line will greatly benefit the team’s depth.

The 27-year-old strikes me as a legitimate Crystal Palace player as well, since his direct and lively approach frequently gets spectators up from their seats.
