1. Three people are dead after a boat capsized in Lake Banister in Halifax County, according to the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources.

The DWR said the incident happened on Sunday night, when their department received notification from the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office about a capsized boat. That was at 8:41 p.m., DWR said.
