In the middle of a turbulent time for Red Bull Racing, Max Verstappen’s recent remarks have provided some much-needed clarification regarding his standing inside the company. Despite challenges off the track, Verstappen is unwaveringly focused on continuing his dominance on the track after winning the first two races of the 2024 season.
Verstappen made it apparent to the Australian media how dedicated he was to Red Bull. He emphasized the importance of the team’s stability by saying, according to an ESPN quote:
“Obviously, this is the reason I initially signed the contract. That’s also what I already stated. I’m content with the team, and it’s crucial that we make an effort to retain the main players for longer stretches of time because, of course, that’s where the performance is as well.
It’s ultimately a performance-based business. I understand how that works because if I hadn’t performed, I wouldn’t be seated here.
“But for sure with the deal in place that’s also my intention to be here to the end, because it would be a great story for me personally just see it out to the end, because it basically means I’ve been part of one family and one team.”
