kike Tomlin is one of the longest-tenured head coaches in the NFL and has led the Pittsburgh Steelers to plenty of success across his nearly two decades leading the franchise on the field.
Throughout that lengthy career, his wife Kiya Tomlin has been with him every step of the way.
Although Mike Tomlin is best known for his lengthy tenure coaching the Steelers, he has been in the coaching world for quite some time dating back to his time as an assistant coach in the college football ranks starting with a one-year stint at VMI in 1995.
Tomlin worked his way up through the college football ranks for a few years before getting his first NFL gig in 2001 as a defensive backs coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was then the Minnesota Vikings’ defensive coordinator for one season in 2006 before taking over as the Steelers’ head man in 2007.
The two met when they were both students at The College of William & Mary, which Mike attended from 1990-94, and have since had three children — Dean, Mason, and Harlyn Quinn.
Kiya was born in Morristown, New Jersey, on Jan. 13, 1974. She initially went to William & Mary College in 1992 as a pre-med student but discovered a passion for the fashion industry and ultimately moved to the University of Cincinnati to earn a degree in Design, Arts, and Architectural Planning.
Kiya has since found success as an entrepreneur and runs a fashion brand bearing her namesake with a store based in Etna, Pennsylvania.
According to her website, Tomlin’s “lifelong love of fashion, many years of creating custom clothing, and experience as a woman of many roles inspire her designs.” The focus of her fashion line is on “creating versatile, hand-sewn pieces made to fit and flatter women’s bodies and all the living they choose to do in them.”
Needless to say, Kiya and Mike have each found quite a bit of success in their respective careers across their more than 25 years of marriage.
