Breaking: Eagles Ultimately Come To The Conclusion That…

According to reports, the Eagles have decided on Brian Johnson.

The Philadelphia Eagles struggled defensively and offensively toward the conclusion of the 2023 season, and they were eliminated from the playoffs in the Wild Card round.

Despite having a fast start, the team did not resemble the one that advanced to the Super Bowl the previous year, as Philadelphia lost both its offensive and defensive coordinators to head coaching positions in the summer.

But with losing defensive coordinator Sean Desai and defensive assistant Matt Patricia, as well as presumably not bringing offensive coordinator Brian Johnson back, continuity won’t work for the Eagles in 2024, NFL reporter Derrick Gunn reports.

This is hardly shocking given how inconsistent the offense was while Johnson was in charge, even with his good relationship with quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Despite significant offensive enhancements, the Eagles managed just nine points in their Wild Card loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They also failed to generate any momentum on the ground or in the air.

With wideouts A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith expected to return with Hurts at quarterback in 2024, the offense should mostly be intact. However, the Eagles may require a new offensive coordinator following the loss of Shane Steichen to the Indianapolis Colts in the previous season.

It’s unclear who that coordinator is, though, as the NFL coaching rotation continues.

To revamp the offense under head coach Nick Sirianni, the Eagles may choose to go outside the organization or make internal promotions.

However, it appears like Sirianni will stay in his position as head coach and will attempt to steer clear of the same faults that beset the Eagles in the previous season as they prepare for 2024.
