BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WALB) – A person has died after crashing into high-voltage power lines while paragliding in Bainbridge on Highway 27 North.

According to the Director of Bainbridge Public Safety Frank Green and Chief Redell Walton, the incident happened Thursday, July 4 at around 7:30 p.m.

The Decatur County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) says they’re still trying to positively ID the victim.

Bainbridge Public Safety, Decatur County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia Power, DOT, and FFA assisted in the investigation.
