Dallan Hayden informs Ohio State football team he will enter the transfer portal

Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson are two excellent running backs for the Ohio State football team this season. Judkins joins from the transfer portal following two extremely successful seasons as the starting quarterback at Ole Miss. Henderson is healthy and prepared for his senior year.

On the depth chart, Dallan Hayden was anticipated to be the third running back. Even though Hayden has demonstrated his ability when called upon, he is unable to secure playing time. Unless one of those top two players was injured, he wasn’t expected to play a much this season either.

Hayden had made up his mind to stop waiting. He’s let the Buckeyes know that he plans to use the transfer site as soon as it opens. Ohio State is about to lose a very good running back. It was reported that the previous year, he was considering using the portal, but ultimately chose to remain.

Last season, Ryan Day chose to redshirt Hayden after just 19 carries for 110 yards and one touchdown. He has five touchdowns and 553 yards on 111 carries at the end of the 2022 campaign. That year, he ran for over 100 yards and three touchdowns, which allowed him to win the game against Maryland by himself.

In the event that either of their top two running backs is injured, Ohio State’s football squad will be extremely thin at the position. It’s not exactly the best idea to rely on Henderson to stay healthy because of his history of ailments. There are just two genuine freshman behind Hayden.
