Breaking News: Former Ohio State head coach would not mind returing back to the club next season…

Ohio State’s coach, Urban Meyer, plans to return the following season.

Within the college football community, there has been discussion over Meyer’s potential retirement following the season. Meyer was suspended for the first three games of the season and has been hindered by headaches stemming from a cyst.

After he appeared more upset and tense than normal on the sidelines during the 49-20 defeat to unranked Purdue on October 20, the conversation picked up steam.

At a press conference on Monday, 54-year-old Meyer responded, “I plan on coaching,” when asked about the rumors. He said, “Yes,” when asked if he would undoubtedly return to Ohio State the following season.

Meyer, whose contract expires in 2021, missed the first three games and training camp this season due to his handling of accusations of domestic violence against his now-fired assistant Zach Smith.

Then, during the game against Indiana on October 6, he was brought to his knees on the sidelines due to a headache. Though he recovered swiftly, he subsequently revealed that the headaches he was experiencing were caused by a cyst in his head, which he was taking medicine for. In 2014, he underwent minor surgery on it.

Later in the press conference, Meyer was informed that inquiries about his physical and emotional well-being came from people outside the program.

He said, “I’m good, and I appreciate it.” In the worst possible manner, I want Ohio State to succeed, and I’m doing everything in my power to make sure it happens. I adore Ohio State and our athletes. I want no one to be concerned about me. I want to make sure that everything is done correctly in this place.”

Resolving some of the issues that beset the Buckeyes (7-1, 4-1 Big Ten) in the defeat to Purdue, especially their incapacity to run the ball and score in the red zone, is a part of that.

The offensive unit spent the bye week focusing only on those problems, according to Meyer. On Saturday, the No. 8 Buckeyes take on Nebraska at Ohio Stadium.

“I think there are two things,” he remarked. “Players need to be positioned correctly, especially running backs. We also need to be more physical and break tackles.”

Meyer stated that last week, the team concentrated on addressing the defense, which has also been a problem. Against Purdue, the Buckeyes missed twenty tackles.

Meyer said, “I think there’s urgency.” “The sense of urgency is immense, but I’m not saying it hurts. We comprehend November, our current situation, and the issues involved, as well as our own flaws.
