Former Ohio State QB CJ Stroud Shades SEC Power.
Although many college football fans recall Florida’s heyday when Tim Tebow and Urban Meyer were in Gainesville, CJ Stroud, the quarterback for the Houston Texans and a former Ohio State player, doesn’t seem to recall those days as clearly.
Stroud talked on Ohio State’s lack of a title while joining former Gators Fred Taylor and Channing Crowder on The Pivot Podcast. Since Meyer took over, the program hasn’t won one, and Taylor brought up the recent troubles, to which Stroud responded angrily.
“Man, we should have won it all,” is a difficult thought to have when looking back. Well, it makes sense, but occasionally, you know, it just doesn’t shake that way. stated Stump, who then questioned Taylor about his fan base. “Where have you gone?”
It’s possible that Stroud unintentionally displayed his advanced age when he replied with Florida, which was part of Florida’s 1996 championship squad.
Stroud said, “Come on, man, what are we talking about?” assuming Taylor attended a more contemporary powerhouse like as Alabama.
To Stroud’s credit, he was still a young player during the Gators’ previous championships because he was born in 2001. He later clarified, though, that he was speaking to more recent achievements.
How did you all get on? Stroud said afterwards, “Nothing, so damned.” “LSU is possibly one of the few teams that only had one successful season.”
