It’s confirmed! Marc Marquez and the Repsol Honda Team will be parting ways at the conclusion of the 2023 season, as officially announced by HRC on Wednesday. Following the announcement, Marquez took to social media to express his gratitude towards the team with whom he has shared numerous achievements and memorable moments in MotoGP™ history.
In his message, Marquez reflected on the remarkable journey he and the team have had together, including six World Championships, five Triple Crowns, 59 victories, 101 podium finishes, and 64 pole positions. He acknowledged the range of emotions they’ve experienced together, from laughter to tears, and emphasized the unique and irreplaceable nature of their relationship.
Marquez closed his post with an optimistic note, stating, “Whilst one door closes, another will open,” indicating that despite parting ways with Repsol Honda, he looks forward to new opportunities on the horizon. He ended with the sentiment, “SEPARATE, BUT ALWAYS TOGETHER!”, highlighting the enduring bond he shares with the team despite their professional separation.
