Marc Marquez has quashed rumours that his new contract at Ducati could be his last in MotoGP.
The Spaniard insisted that he wanted to stay with the Italian team beyond the expiration of the fresh two-year deal that he penned.
The 31-year-old will partner Pecco Bagnaia for the new campaign, but Ducati have seen Jorge Martin, Enea Bastianini, Marco Bezzecchi and the Pramac team all leave.

Marquez will be the second-oldest rider on the MotoGP grid next year, but told Speedweek that he had no intention of quitting just yet.
“You never know [whether this might be your last contract], but I don’t wish for it,” Marquez said. “I want to stay longer than these two years. Even two years later.
“When I feel competitive, and competitive means being in the top six in every race. Very competitive means being in the top three.
“To win a championship you need all the tools, you need all the things in the right place. That’s not the case for me at the moment.”
