Breaking News: Luton Town head coach Rob Edward has been fired few hours ago due to….

Before the 2021–2022 season began, he accepted his first permanent position in the EFL with Forest Green Rovers. By the conclusion of his first season there, he had successfully led the team to promotion from League Two.

Despite a lull in the latter part of the season, FGR was in control for a good portion of that campaign and ultimately emerged as winners.

Due to his success in Gloucestershire, he was able to transfer to Watford; nevertheless, Rovers owner Dale Vince criticized him for how he handled his departure, which might have damaged his reputation a little.

But he had to move past this, and Scott Duxberry, the CEO of the Hornets, would have given him comfort.

Duxberry declared before the 2022–2023 season began that the Hornets would support Edwards “come hell or high water,” which was unexpected given the club’s history of many managerial changes in the years prior to Edwards’ hiring.

However, the 41-year-old was fired in September 2022 after just 10 league games in command.

Even if the young coach didn’t have the best start at Vicarage Road, the Hornets board’s decision to dismiss him of his duties was harsh, and many opposed it.

Fortunately for him, less than two months after leaving the Hertfordshire club, the former defender was brought in to replace Nathan Jones by Watford’s bitter rivals Luton Town, giving him another opportunity to excel in the Championship.

By using the play-offs, he was able to capitalize on Jones’ outstanding performance and lead the Hatters to the Premier League the previous season.

They did a good job of persevering against the odds, outperforming both Burnley and Sheffield United overall, but they have since crumbled after failing to score enough points.

In recent weeks, Kieran McKenna has been strongly connected to leaving Ipswich Town; teams including Brighton, Chelsea, and Manchester United all rumored to be interested in signing the Northern Irishman.

Edwards is supposedly being considered as a possible successor for the Tractor Boys, who were promoted to the Premier League earlier this month, should he decide to go.
