Los Angeles Rams TE Brycen Hopkins suspended three games for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.
THOUSAND OAKS, California The Los Angeles Rams announced on Wednesday that tight end Brycen Hopkins has been suspended for three games for breaking the NFL’s policy regarding substances of abuse.
Following the Rams’ Week 5 matchup with the Dallas Cowboys, on October 10, Hopkins is eligible to rejoin the team’s active roster.
Hopkins, a 2021 fourth-round selection, has only participated in eight offensive plays thus far this season and has not recorded a reception.
Because Kendall Blanton and Tyler Higbee were both out by injury during the Rams’ Super Bowl LVI victory, the tight end saw a lot of playing time. Throughout the game, Hopkins had four receptions for 47 yards.
The Rams’ other tight end on the active roster right now is Higbee. Los Angeles’ practice squad includes tight ends Jared Pinkney and Roger Carter Jr.
Williams remarked, “A loss is a loss, and it hurts, and nobody wants to deal with it.” Every week, we return prepared to work. We simply know that things will only become worse if they don’t get better. All we can do is try to move past our losses. We follow a successful philosophy. Here we have a winning team. We don’t think about the past. We simply go on and leave them behind.
The Niners have been losing too many games; they have dropped five of their last six games, which has dampened the start to a season that was full of great expectations.
The worst of those losses was presumably last Sunday, when the Cardinals, without Kyler Murray, DeAndre Hopkins, A.J. Green, and J.J. Watt, won 31-17 and controlled both ends of the court.
The three turnovers in the game revealed poor offensive play and issues with the defense’s rear end.
“We have the ability to play much better football,” head coach Kyle Shanahan declared. “That is undoubtedly the case. We’re currently a 3-5 team, as far as I know. I think we can do better as a team than that record, and I know I have to lead by example.
