LA Rams head coach Sean McVay taken out by his own player in freak sideline accident.

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay will be having words with Roger Carter Jr after the NFL rookie slammed into him when rushing onto the field against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Carter Jr was only elevated from the practice squad this weekend ahead of their clash against the Chiefs, but had a nightmare inside the first quarter. The youngster was rushing onto the field while attempting to secure his helmet, and his right shoulder crunched into McVay’s jaw.

Unsurprisingly, the Rams head coach was majorly rocked by the incident, as he immediately clutched his face – which was likely in absolute agony. And to make matters worse, Carter Jr’s helmet also smashed into McVay’s head, as the head coach got both barre.

Carter Jr came from Georgia State and signed for the Rams practice squad on September 1. Saturday was the first time that the tight end has ever been elevated in his NFL career, and it was for one of the biggest clashes of them all against the Chiefs.

But Carter Jr will be looking to put the incident behind him quickly and focus on his future with the Rams. And judging by his performances for Georgia State last season, he has lots of potential.
