Head coach of the Rams Sean McVay and his wife Veronika Welcome First Child, Share Birth with Funny Tweet

The 37-year-old coach had his first child with wife Veronika, 33, on Tuesday, October 24. He made a special announcement about the birth of their child on Wednesday.

Later, when asked about the meaning behind his son’s name at a news conference, McVay said that the coach’s grandpa was the inspiration. “Yes, it is. The way things worked out, his initial due date was sort of creepy. His original due date was the 31st of January, the year my grandfather passed away.”

Which is just really unique, and there are certain things that happen to people who don’t believe in a higher power. The new father remarked, “You simply sense there’s something amazing going on.”

John McVay, an executive for the San Francisco 49ers, is McVay’s grandpa.

“You know the effect that you guys know my grandpa had on me, but also our family; he had a unique relationship with Veronika as well,” the man said. “I come from a family of religion; I’m a man of faith.”
“Therefore, I reasoned that it was only fitting that he be given a name and take on his middle name in honor of my grandpa, whose legacy endures.” “I’m sure he’s grinning, seeing what happened yesterday,” McVay said in closing.
Four months after leading the Rams to a Super Bowl triumph, in June 2022, McVay and his wife married. The couple became engaged in 2019.
