Leicester City have signed teenage midfielder Michael Golding from Chelsea for about £4m.
The 18-year-old, who can play in a number of midfield roles, has agreed a long-term contract.
The England youth international’s move is separate to Chelsea’s £30m deal to sign Leicester midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall last week.
He is expected to be involved with the first team when pre-season training starts at Seagrave on Monday.
He made one senior appearance under Mauricio Pochettino last season.
Golding told Leicester’s website: “I’m really looking forward to making leaps in my career here and help the team as much as I can.
“The history of the club speaks for itself; there are great players here and I’m looking to soak up as much information as I can.
“I’m very excited to learn from Steve Cooper, given some of the players he has worked with and his track record of working with young players.”
