Why is Leeds manager Marsch suspended from Premier League?.
The FA has verified that Marsh, who was sent off during Leeds United’s 5-2 loss to Brentford, has been fined and banned. Marsch became enraged after Aaron Hickey’s challenge against Crysencio Summerville went unpunished. Although the Leeds manager begged referee Robert Jones to investigate the tackle, his irate protestations only led to a red card.
“Leeds United FC’s Jesse Marsch has been fined £10,000 and suspended from the touchline for their next fixture following a breach of FA Rule E3 that happened at their match against Brentford FC in the Premier League on Saturday, September 3, 2022,” according to a statement from the FA.
“The manager acknowledged that his actions and words in the 64th minute of the match were inappropriate. His consequences were then enforced by an impartial regulatory commission.”
The Whites’ next game is not until after the impending international break, so Marsch will have to watch it from the stands. The circumstances surrounding the Queen’s funeral have forced the squad to postpone their next matchup with Manchester United.
