Following his team’s 2-2 draw with Cardiff City, Leeds captain Liam Cooper sustained a foot injury that might keep him out for up to eight weeks.

After 53 minutes, the 31-year-old center back was stretchered off after scoring the game’s first goal at Elland Road.

Since then, it has been determined that Cooper sustained a ruptured plantar fascia, which is the tendon that joins the heel bone to the toes.

These casual gatherings, which were formerly comparable to benefit games for football players toward the conclusion of their careers, are becoming less popular, mostly due to the shorter service terms. However, Liam Cooper broke with the norm and is currently approaching his tenth year at Leeds.

Since he was a signing, which almost did not happen, Cooper has been a survivor at Elland Road.

A failed attempt to sign the defender in the first week of August 2014 from Chesterfield brought the deal dangerously close to collapse before Leeds lost their season opener at Millwall. They weren’t prepared to pay the £600,000 that he was asking before the game, but Leeds owner Massimo Cellino was adequately put out of his misery by the team’s 2-0 loss in London. Within 48 hours, a greater offer was made, and Chesterfield
