Conor Chaplin, Town of Ipswich
Chaplin won the prize after defeating Aaron Collins, Barry Bannan, David McGoldrick, Bali Mumba, and joint League One top scorer Jonson Clarke-Harris.
Chaplin stated the following after winning the first-ever PFA League One Players’ Player of the Year Award:
“It’s a beautiful trophy, and it’s particularly noteworthy because it was the first from League One. I’m overjoyed. It means a little more to be appreciated and acknowledged by the players you play against each and every week. It’s good to have that acknowledgement.
“It obviously helps that the club was able to highlight specific individuals.” I’ll have to clear up a sizable area in my home for the trophy. I am eager to get it home.
Conor has our compliments, on behalf of the whole PFA.
