very sad and painful news: meet four Ipswich town key players sentenced to life imprisonment and what they did to Deserce this…..

Ipswich Town utterly destroyed Sheffield Wednesday, a team fighting for relegation, 6-0 over the weekend, but the Tractor Boys paid a heavy price for the decisive victory.

Wes Burns, the team’s standout player over the previous two seasons, limped off before the half at Portman Road. The attacking sensation will probably spend some time on the sidelines due to a hamstring injury.

The 29-year-old has been a crucial member of the Suffolk team’s comeback through the football pyramid, so losing him would be devastating for the team vying for promotion.

Kieran McKenna’s team is currently one point out of automatic promotion spots, so bad luck has come at the worst time. Conor Chaplin is also out for this weekend’s game against the Owls.

Conor Chaplin and Wes Burns injury updates
In his 32 league games this season, Burns has contributed three assists and five goals, making him a vital member of McKenna’s squad as they vie for promotion to the Premier League.

In addition to scoring the equalizer in the 2-2 draw with rivals Norwich City and a goal of the season candidate against Coventry City earlier in the campaign, he most recently recorded a brace in a 4-3 triumph against Rotherham United.

When the forward hobbled off the pitch shortly after the half-hour mark on Saturday, his manager didn’t seem optimistic about the forward’s future.

“Everyone in the dressing room is devastated for Wes. We’re just crossing our fingers that it won’t be as severe as it may be.

The Tractor Boys still have Kieffer Moore, Nathan Broadhead, Omari Hutchinson, and Chaplin to rely on if he returns to full health, but Burns’ absence could prove expensive in the fight for promotion from the Championship this season.

Due to an injury sustained during training, the former Portsmouth striker [shown] was not included in the matchday squad for the first time this season. However, McKenna is more optimistic that he will return sooner rather than later.
