aidstone United, a National League South team, shocked everyone by upsetting Ipswich Town, a squad vying for the Championship, at Portman Road in the FA Cup’s fourth round.
Even though they were outmatched for a large portion of the game, Maidstone scored two goals on fantastic counterattacks from Lamar Reynolds and Sam Corne, who also had the only shots on goal. This incredible triumph defied all expectations, as Maidstone is 98 spots lower in the football league standings than Ipswich.

Lucas Covolan, the goalkeeper for Maidstone, put on a really impressive display during the game, making 12 saves to advance the non-league team to the next round.
As the final whistle blew, Covolan collapsed to the ground, while his teammates celebrated with the departing supporters.
After his incredible performance, the Brazilian was obviously moved and nearly broke down in tears during the post-match interview.
The BBC Sport interview with Covolan said, “I want to thank my wife, family, and everyone who has supported us.”
In his post-match interview, George Elokobi, the manager of Maidstone, was eager to showcase his goalie.
“Lucas was one of my last signings 48 hours before the league started,” Elokobi said to BBC One. He rules the box and sets the example in key games like this one.
“It was great that he kept us in so many games this season. Amazing from him, but the players as a whole put on amazing performances,” Elokobi continued.
