Former Ipswich Town midfielder Alan Judge has signed with the National League team, working until the conclusion of the season. The 35-year-old has been recovering from a severe injury sustained in December 2022 while playing for Colchester United, undergoing ACL surgery in March of the following year. Despite being released by Colchester United at the end of the 2022–23 season, Judge remained with the club for rehabilitation and recently returned to action with their under-21 squad.
Throughout his career, Judge has faced numerous significant injuries, including a leg break while playing against Ipswich for Brentford during the 2015/16 season. Joining Woking, managed by Michael Doyle, who currently sits 14th in the National League, Judge might make his debut as they face 11th place Southend United. During his time at Ipswich Town, Judge made 91 appearances and scored 18 goals before moving to Colchester United in the summer of 2021.
