Ipswich Town: Sam Morsy won Player of the Year award and promotion push……………..

Even after winning Supporters’ Player of the Year, Ipswich Town captain Sam Morsy believes that his best is still to come.

“I’ve managed to achieve a nice level of consistency,” the 32-year-old stated. He has played a pivotal role in helping the Blues advance from midtable in League One to the Premier League. Once again this season, I’ve been pleased with my form.

It all comes down to pushing yourself to strive, achieve better and do better. That’s the only mindset you can have, in my opinion.

“I suppose your trajectory will go downward the instant you think you can’t get better.

“One of the main attributes of the staff is their desire to help each player become better. This aligns with my personal philosophy of constantly improving, so it’s been a great fit for me to be in this atmosphere.”

“I still think there’s space for development. I’m going to keep getting better, keep pushing, and see where it takes me because I’d be dissatisfied if this was the most I could do.

Town enters their final three games—Hull (a), Coventry (a), and Huddersfield (h)—knowing that a maximum of points will guarantee automatic promotion. Town isn’t playing this weekend since their scheduled opponents, Coventry City, are in FA Cup action.

Morsy, who is two bookings away from a three-game suspension, said, “It’s amazing that we’ve been so competitive at such a challenging level.”

“Getting into the Premier League is never going to be simple, and we shouldn’t expect it to be either. If it was simple, there would be no reason to do it.

“In the coming weeks, we will face some significant obstacles, and the test will be whether we can overcome them.

“We love each other’s company and this season.” For each other, we will fight to the end.
