Ipswich Town Manager Kieran McKenna to Bid Farewell to his Key Player Tomorrow due to…..

Manager of Ipswich Town Kieran McKenna is aware that Bristol City’s visitors to Portman Road tomorrow perform best when they are the underdogs.

With 11 games remaining and a second place standing in the Championship standings, the Blues want to win six straight in the league.

Bristol City recently interrupted Southampton’s club-record 25-game undefeated streak with a 3-1 victory at Ashton Gate. They also eliminated West Ham from the FA Cup and pushed Nottingham Forest all the way over two games.

But before this game, Liam Manning’s team has suffered back-to-back defeats to Cardiff (1-0 at home), Sheffield Wednesday (2-1 away), and the lowly QPR (1-0 at home).

Speaking before of the televised match (8pm, Sky Sports), McKenna stated, “It’s clear to see, especially with their FA Cup performances, plus the Southampton and Middlesbrough (2-1 away win) results, what a threat they can be.”

When they play against teams that control the ball and aren’t the game favorites, they most likely perform well.

Experience informs us that we must be completely ready for this game. They have a strong team, talented players, and a capable manager.

“Now that I know Liam better. We encountered his MK team during League One. He’s a terrific man, a good coach, and he’ll undoubtedly want to leave a lasting impact by bringing his club here. It is our responsibility to prevent that and give a strong performance of our own.”

For Saturday’s 2-0 victory at Plymouth, Town was missing three important players: Massimo Luongo (sickness), Nathan Broadhead (thigh), and Wes Burns (calf).

McKenna remarked, “We’ll have to see how Massimo is.” Fortunately, it doesn’t appear that Wes and Nathan’s muscular strains are too serious, so they should be back in the lineup for the upcoming games. We’ll have to decide whether this is too soon or not.

“We had 18 senior outfielders in the squad at the weekend, plus Sone (Aluko) travelling with the group, so we’ve still got plenty who are training well and competing well.”
