The young forward, aged 18, joined Arsenal at the Under-12 level following a two-year stint at Charlton Athletics’ youth academy.
Omari signed as a scholar in May 2015 and later secured his first professional contract with the club in November 2020. He accompanied the first team to their pre-season training camp in Scotland in July 2021 and was named on the bench for the first team during their FA Cup Third Round match against Nottingham Forest in January.

Hutchinson began his journey at Arsenal from the Under-12 level and earned his inaugural professional contract in November 2020. A central attacking midfielder who can also operate on the right wing, Hutchinson made numerous appearances for Arsenal U21s but did not receive any senior game time.
After being omitted from Arsenal’s pre-season tour of America, Hutchinson realized his time at Arsenal was coming to an end. Subsequently, he made the switch to Chelsea, crossing the London divide.
The length of Hutchinson’s contract with Chelsea and the transfer fee remains undisclosed. Jim Fraser, Chelsea’s head of youth recruitment, expressed delight at Hutchinson’s arrival, describing him as an exciting emerging talent hoping to make a swift impression in the senior game.
Presently, Hutchinson is training with Chelsea U23s. However, sources indicate that the 18-year-old prospect will soon secure a loan move to the Championship.
Reading expressed interest in Hutchinson during his tenure at Arsenal, and he is now poised to join Paul Ince’s team from Chelsea on a temporary basis.
Hutchinson aims to continue his promising development at the Madej ski Stadium, assisting Reading in their aspirations to climb up the Championship table. Last season, they narrowly avoided relegation to League One, finishing 21st.
The upcoming season marks Hutchinson’s debut in first-team football, offering him opportunities to enhance his physical and technical attributes.
Reading secures a talented player in Hutchinson, highly regarded by Chelsea coaches and possessing international experience, having represented England at U17 and U19 levels. Additionally, he is eligible to play for Jamaica and featured in their friendly against Catalonia in May.
Regarding other transfer news, Chelsea has determined the outcome of Presnell Kayembe’s potential arrival after rejecting one of his Paris Saint-Germain teammates. The deal is pending regulatory processes.
