Moore: My Football Game Is Totally Different

It was confirmed earlier this evening that Moore would return on loan to the Blues from Bournemouth.

Following an outstanding loan spell at his local club, Torquay United, who was also in the fifth division at the time, the 31-year-old was a surprise signing for Town in January 2017 after being acquired from National League Forest Green Rovers for an incredible £25,000.

During the second half of that season, Moore made 11 substitute appearances for the Blues without scoring.

One of those outings at Rotherham drew the attention of Miller’s manager, Paul Warne, and thus Moore was loaned to the New York Stadium at the beginning of the next season.

Moore’s career truly took off at that point, as he scored 13 goals in 19 League One starts and made three appearances for the South Yorkshiremen as a substitute.

Due to this, Moore was still low down the Portman Road hierarchy behind seasoned attackers David McGoldrick, Daryl Murphy, and Freddie Sears.

In January, nearby rival Barnsley made a £750,000 offer, which the Blues accepted.

He played in the Championship for Wigan and Cardiff before joining the Cherries in January 2022 and guiding them into the Premier League in 2021–2022.

He made a name for himself with the Wales team in the meantime, earning 39 caps and tallying 12 goals.

“I’m a whole different football player,” he declared to TownTV when asked what fans of the Blues may anticipate from him going forward.

“I aim to make a fantastic impression. I have really worked hard on my game, refining my strengths and weaknesses and everything else.

“Since leaving this place seven years ago, I’ve played in the Premier League, established myself in the Championship, attended the Euros and World Cup, and became a Wales international.

“I’m thrilled to be here right now. I want to put in a lot of effort, get going right away, and score some goals.

I’m eager to perform in front of the audience once more and share my passion with them.

“Being on the field, scoring goals, and being a part of it is a feeling that’s hard to give up, and that’s exactly what I want here,” the player said.

“It’s great to finally get it over the line; it’s been a long time coming.”

He continued, thinking back on the loan agreement through the end of the season.
“I am thrilled to be returning here, as I recall my first spell there.”

I’m eager to get started because it appears like there has been some change.

“Even though it took longer than expected, I’m happy to be here and can finally play.

I was aware that there might be a move here from the beginning of the window.”

“What everyone has been telling me has really excited me, and I can’t wait to get started.”
