Ipswich Town vs. Maidstone United: Chris Sutton’s prediction.

Ipswich Town and Maidstone United will play in the FA Cup tomorrow, and football commentator Chris Sutton has given his prediction.

Although Sutton, a legend of Norwich City, has a tendency to choose against the Blues whenever he gets the chance, he acknowledges that they are strong favorites for tomorrow’s fourth-round match against the non-league teams (12.30pm, live on BBC One).

He’s forecasting a Town victory by a score of 3-0 for the BBC.

“After a really good draw against leaders Leicester on Monday, Ipswich are back in the Championship automatic promotion spots,” the speaker continued. They performed admirably, but it took a late equalizer for them to get a point.

“Kieran McKenna is performing admirably there, and his Ipswich team is disciplined and well-run. I can only see them making a mistake in this situation if he plays around too much with his team.

“Maidstone has had an incredible run and has already pulled off a few significant FA Cup upsets at home against the best clubs in League One and Two, but I think this might be going too far, and all I see is a comfortable home victory.

“Maidstone has come a long way, so I feel a little bad for them because they lost out on the East Anglia dream draw. Although Norwich was also included in the hat, George Elokobi’s team was forced to travel to Ipswich.”

But rockers Justin Young and Arni Arnason of The Vaccines, who are both anticipating a cupset, do not share Sutton’s uncommon faith in the Blues.

“A little bit of FA Cup magic always feels less likely when the non-league team is away from home, but I am still going with Maidstone here,” commented Justin, a Manchester United supporter. 0–1.

Arni, a Spurs fan, continued, saying, “I’m hoping for the same result, but after a replay. That would be wonderful to happen.

“Hopefully, there will be a greater likelihood of retaining the amazing replays we have this year next year. Maidstone will prevail in the replay on penalties, 0-0.”
