A British tourist is believed to have died after falling while chasing a lost ball at one of Majorca’s top golf courses. Police are investigating the incident, which occurred on Friday evening (September 27) at the prestigious Son Muntaner Golf Course. The 61-year-old, who has not yet been identified, reportedly suffered a fatal head injury
Authorities are working to determine whether the man died from an accidental fall or was struck by a stray golf ball. Initially, it was reported that he had been hit by a ball, with an autopsy expected over the weekend to clarify the cause of death. Despite emergency services’ efforts to revive him for 30 minutes, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Reports from Majorca suggest the man went missing while playing a round of golf with friends as he searched for a stray ball. When he failed to return, his friends found him unconscious on the ground. Detectives from the National Police Homicide Unit are investigating the circumstances of his death, though no official comment has been made by the police or the golf course, which is part of the prestigious European Tour Destinations association.
