Fulham have shown interest in a £12 million-rated midfielder who could potentially replace Harrison Reed, as reported in a recent update.
The Cottagers have enjoyed a strong start to their Premier League season, entering the international break in good form after victories over Brentford and Crystal Palace, collecting 18 points from a possible 33. Under Marco Silva, Fulham has established itself as a solid Premier League team, and their next goal is to push for a European spot. With the January transfer window approaching, Fulham may take the opportunity to strengthen their squad for the latter half of the season.
Reports emerged earlier this week that Fulham is interested in signing Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich. The young talent, who has struggled for playing time under Vincent Kompany, seems poised for a January loan, and Fulham is among the clubs keen to bring him in. In addition to Tel, Silva’s side has inquired about Celtic’s Nicolas Kuhn, who has caught Fulham’s eye with his impressive performances in Scotland, though Brentford is also competing for his signature.
According to Football Insider, Fulham has also registered interest in Liverpool’s Wataru Endo. The midfielder joined Liverpool from Stuttgart in August 2023, playing an integral role under Jürgen Klopp. However, with Arne Slot now at the helm and Endo out of favor, Liverpool’s owners are prepared to sell him. Endo, who made over 40 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions last season, has yet to start a league game this season, leading to frustration for the 31-year-old, who is now considering an exit.
With Slot not counting on Endo, Fulham is prepared to move, though Ipswich Town and Wolves have also shown interest. Liverpool reportedly values Endo at around £12-14 million, a feasible price for Fulham. If he joins the Cottagers, Endo would likely serve as a replacement for Harrison Reed, who has lost his starting position in Silva’s lineup this season. Endo’s addition would also enhance Fulham’s midfield options, joining players like Sander Berge and Sasa Lukic in providing depth in the wake of Joao Palhinha’s transfer to Bayern Munich.
