https://primesportnews.co.uk/A 1-0 victory at Old Trafford last weekend ensured the Gunners will take the battle the distance, but Manchester City’s midweek win over Tottenham means they hold a two-point lead at the summit with one game to play.
Arsenal are now praying for a favour from West Ham, but they must also take care of business against Everton to have any chance of winning their first league title in 20 years.
The Gunners have enjoyed their recent final day outings against the Toffees, winning the last two meetings by an aggregate score of 10-1. Arsenal haven’t lost a final day fixture since 2005.
Everton, though, having long preserved their Premier League status, head into Sunday’s bout on a five-game unbeaten run. In fact, Sean Dyche’s side have won four of their last five and are one of the division’s best teams.
Thus, while they’re playing for little this weekend, they’re poised to make things tricky for the hosts inside what could be a pressure cooker of a stadium depending on what unfolds throughout the day in Manchester.

Nothing’s changed on the injury front for Arsenal. The Gunners are healthy, and we could see Mikel name an unchanged side for the fifth consecutive game on Sunday.
Jurrien Timber travelled with the squad to Manchester last weekend but wasn’t involved. He’ll likely be preserved for the summer.Everton are defensively sound and excellent from set-pieces, so they could frustrate the Gunners on Sunday.
Plus, while Arsenal are operating as the hunters in the title race, there’s bound to be some tension in north London. We saw how the need to win affected Arteta’s men last weekend.
A home game against Everton, a side they’ve thrashed in two recent final day outings, isn’t quite as nerve-inducing as a trip to Old Trafford, but I expect the hosts to struggle through this one somewhat.
Still, they’ll have enough to secure three points, which would cap off a quite incredible season – even if it doesn’t result in silverware.
