Speaking at the launch of SPAR’s Better Choices campaign in 2022, Seamus said: ‘We went to the same secondary school, we were 15 or 16. I was a year above her and was aware of her for a while of course. How we ended up chatting and meeting, it was just like you do back in the day, you get a phone number and you text but I actually rang her.’

The thought of ringing someone straight away now might put the fear into teens and Seamus admits it was a bold move on his part as well. He said: ‘It was quite brave going all in with the phone call but that night we chatted for hours, it must have been about 4am. From there on in it was phone calls until late at night and seeing each other the next day at school and thankfully that carried on. Now we’re three kids later and happily married, all is going well.’
